We have American Sports Camps booked in for 2025 in London, Belfast, and Glasgow. Contact us if your church is interested in utilising our turnkey sports camp model for youth outreach in your area, which has a proven track record for effective evangelism, follow up ministries, pathways for discipleship, and organic church growth.
In an age when young people are running from the church, God is using sports camps to reach youth with the Gospel and re-engage them with the church.
Religious statistics made headlines when the results of Census 2021 revealed that, for the first time, fewer than half of people in England and Wales describe themselves as Christian. Moreover, the British Social Attitudes Survey reveals that 65% of 18-24 year-olds say they belong to no religion, and only 18% say they are Christians.
Apathy to the message of the Bible and its teaching is undoubtedly growing across the country. We cannot just teach our teenagers how to survive in the UK as Christians, we need to inspire them with the knowledge that God is moving and transforming lives everywhere, and that they have been gifted with the unique skills and abilities to help reach the millions who have not yet heard the gospel, both inside and outside of the UK.
We are part of something bigger…

Gospel Impact through American Sports Camps
In 2016, a conversation began on an airplane with an American youth worker and a Northern Irish church leader about what it would look like to use an American Sports Camp as a gospel-centred outreach to underserved youth in Belfast. One year later, our first sports camp was launched in the region, becoming a catalyst for a new sports ministry network seeing exponential growth all across the UK.
Since Breakaway Outreach USA began in 1995, our global sports ministry network has worked with a diverse landscape of churches and church planting movements in 14+ nations and 4 different continents, running intercultural sports camps that have a proven track record of effectively reaching youth and families with the Gospel, and catalyzing church growth:
- 240+ youth camps facilitated
- 26,000+ young people and family members hearing the Gospel
- 5,900+ decisions to take next steps in following Jesus
- 140+ churches have been directly impacted by youth outreach partnerships (planted, revitalised, mobilized, or youth ministries developed)
Would your church like to implement an effective outreach strategy to reach more families in your community? Would you like to see sustained growth year after year? Do you want to see young people come to Jesus and develop into leaders in your church? We can help you achieve your outreach goals.
Our “sport camp in a box” offers a seamless approach to evangelism and “next steps” for discipleship. This camp model helps your church to reach youth, parents, and entire families for Jesus.
Sport is a universal language with intercultural appeal and can be leveraged for Gospel influence.
Running a week-long sports camp or series of sports outreach clinics have proven to be highly effective platforms in reaching gospel-destitute youth and families in any context.
